  • Fine mesh strainer (optional)
  • Citrus juicer
  • Glasses for serving

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh watermelon - diced and seeds removed
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 cup chilled sparkling water - or still water
  • 1 tsp honey or agave syrup - optional, for sweetness
  • ice cubes - as needed

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Dice the watermelon into small pieces.
  • Wash and pat dry the basil leaves.

Blend:

  • Add the watermelon, basil leaves, lime juice, and honey (if using) into a blender. Blend until smooth.

Strain (Optional):

  • For a smoother drink, pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any pulp.

Mix:

  • Divide the mixture evenly between two glasses.
  • Add ice cubes and top with sparkling water (or still water) to your desired level. Stir gently.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Garnish with a basil leaf or a small wedge of watermelon. Serve immediately.
