Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of bread - whole grain,white, or your favorite type
  • 1 ripe avocado - preferably Hass
  • 100 g smoked salmon
  • 50 g cream cheese
  • lemon juice - optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh dill or chives for garnish - optional

Instructions
 

  • Toast the bread slices until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency. If you like, you can add a splash of lemon juice to the mashed avocado to prevent it from browning.
  • Spread a generous layer of cream cheese onto each slice of toasted bread.
  • Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  • Top each slice of avocado toast with smoked salmon slices.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh dill or chives, if desired, for added flavor and presentation.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious avocado toast with salmon and cream cheese!

Notes

  • Feel free to swap any of the toppings on the ingredient list with whatever you have lying around. It will probably taste just as amazing!
